William Chetcuti wins the Romana Munizzioni Trap Trophy

- The Finals results Class A Class B Class C

William Chetcuti claimed the Romana Munizzioni Trap Trophy, an event that was organised at the Bidnija Shooting Ranges, on three qualificat­ion rounds plus finals.

Chetcuti topped the qualificat­ions ranking with a high-quality result of 73/75. He then went on to win the final stages after starting fresh, since the results of all six finalists begin yet again from zero.

Joining William on the podium were Paul Formosa who finished in second overall and Brian Galea who finished in third.

The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualificat­ion scores were;

William Chetcuti with the score of 73/75, Brian Galea scored 70/75, Nicholas Carabott hit 69/75, Rennie Deguara managed 65/75, Stephen Vella 63/75+3 and Paul Formosa 63/75+2.

1st William Chetcuti 19/25 + 5/5 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 10/10, total score 42/50

2nd Paul Formosa 23/25 + 3/5 + 3/5 + 4/5+ 6/10, total score 39/50

3rd Brian Galea 18/25 + 5/5 + 5/5 + 4/5, total score 32/40

4th Rennie Deguara 19/25 + 5/5 + 4/5, total score 28/35

5th Nicholas Carabott 20/25 + 3/5, total score 23/30

6th Stephen Vella 17/25, total score 17/25

The top Shooters in their respective classes concluded their three qualificat­ions with the following scores:

1st William Chetcuti 73/75 2nd Brian Galea 70/75

3rd Nicholas Carabott 69/75

1st Frank Scorfna 62/75 2nd George Cassar 59/75 3rd Charles Muscat 55/75

1st George Grech 57/75 (Countback Rule)

The MSSF Trap Programme continues on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July at the Bidnija Ranges with the fifth and last Trap Selection Shoot of the year 2019.
