Qrendi obtained their second victory of the season easily disposing of Fgura to move to second place in the standings. Qrendi’s attack was too strong for Fgura’s feeble defence who was always at odds whenever Qrendi stormed forward. For Fgura a rather difficult start indeed, with three successive defeats and eleven goals suffered so far.

Fgura drew first blood with a Gilbert Martin drive well saved by Marmara but on 15 minutes Qrendi were awarded a penalty for a handling infringement and Alexander Nilsson fired home from the penalty spot.

On 22 minutes Qrendi doubled the score with a great move between Lee Joe Schembri and Dhonathan Santos Da Hora, with the latter finding the back of the net with a precise grounder.

Qrendi continued to dominate creating several scoring chances and even hitting the post through Lee Joe Schembri. In the final minutes of the first half Fgura had a good patch in attack with Martinelli almost committing an own goal when his header hit the crossbar in an attempt to clear.

Ten minutes into the second half Fgura goalkeeper Bartolo was robbed of the ball by Silveira who easily scored the third. On the hour Fgura pulled one back with a Spanish move with Valero nodding down to Toncheff who scored from close range. Two minutes later Toncheff almost scored another one but his shot hit the side netting.

On 73 minutes Qrendi scored a fourth again through Santos Da Hora who was too quick for the hesitant Fgura defence. Four minutes from time Fgura’s Gilbert Martin was sent off for dissent. And there was more to come as Santos Da Hora scored his third goal from close range following a Silveira cross from the left.
