A Tale of Two Cities

Manhattan -Valletta at Castille

Beating Hearts Malta held the first exhibition A Tale of Two Cities: Manhattan Valletta at Auberge de Castille in the Ambassador’s Room on 12th September 2019. The event was hosted by the Office of the Prime Minister and organised with the help of the Marigold Foundation through the kind offices of Mrs Michelle Muscat.

The 25 pairs of prints with their respective caption cards were displayed on 75 easels which were kindly lent by Casapinta Exhibition and Events.

Prof. Grech spoke briefly about Beating Hearts Malta and its aims and thanked all sponsors without whom these events could not possibly take place.

Mrs Muscat encouraged the NGO and described what other NGOs such as the Marigold Foundation and the National Alliance For Rare Diseases Support are doing. She also praised all for the hard work that these NGOs put into their efforts to supplement the extant health care services. Dr Muscat finally thanked all present for attending.

On behalf of the Marigold Foundation, Jennifer Xuereb presented BHM with a donation while BHM presented four exhibition prints to the Office of the Prime Minister, as a token of appreciation for hosting this prestigious event. Another four prints were presented to the Marigold Foundation, again, in small thanks for help and support.

A reception was held and over half of the prints were purchased on site, along with additional orders for prints that had already been sold.
