Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa named Ambassador Hotel for Champagne Barons de Rothschild

-

In a first for Malta, the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa was last week announced as an ambassador hotel for Champagne Barons de Rothschild – one of the most luxurious champagne houses in the world. The announcement was made over dinner in the Villa Corinthia, where Champagne Barons de Rothschild Frédéric Mairesse presented Corinthia Palace General Manager Adrian Attard with the coveted Ambassador plaque.

Meanwhile, the Hotel’s Executive Chef Stefan Hogan and his team presented a fabulous menu that paired perfectly with the Barons de Rothschild champagne.

“We are so honoured to join the likes of the Ritz in London and the Grand Hotel in Saint Jean de Luz, in France, to receive this honour, and be appointed an official ambassador hotel for Champagne Barons de Rothschild,” says Corinthia Palace General Manager Adrian Attard. “The Rothschild plaque will now be proudly displayed outside our signature dining destination, the Villa Corinthia, in testament to this exciting partnership.”

Famous for over 160 years in the world of fine wines, the Rothschild family has always combined an appreciation of excellence with a passion for breaking new ground and a reputation for the highest expertise. Following in the house’s footsteps, Champagne Barons de Rothschild is now recognised as one of the most rigorously demanding producers of fine Champagne.

“Champagne is an important part of the Corinthia Palace experience, and we look forward to the pleasure that Champagne Barons de Rothschild will bring to our patrons. Champagne is a magnificent drink that should be enjoyed throughout the year and not just on special occasions. As Charles Dickens said, ‘Champagne is one of the elegant extras in life’,” Mr Attard said.
