Tal-Qroqq Versity win first honour

- TAL-QROQQ-DINGLI AET 6-3

TAL-QROQQ VERSITY won the first honour of the season, a well deserved honour after beating champions DINGLI 6-3 after extra time. TAL-QROQQ this season has a strong competitiv­e team and after this merited win they are determined to go fuirther and gain a place amongst the first five for the second phase. The team plays collective football and the goals they need is the responsibi­lity of Ricardo Severino who is passing througha great form and combining well wih Carlo Leonardi who is also talented in finishing the moves created by his team mates. Severino and the goalkeeper Brian Baldacchin­o were two great new signings.

AN ATTRACTION

Masters Football Malta last week took the initiative to bring together Maltese legends of football who retired from competitio­n during the last thirty years. Some of them are still active as trainers or coaches. They wrote golden pages during their career. Playig a selection of English players that used to play with amateur clubs. They won 3-1 with goals coming two from Carmel Busuttil and one from Stefan Farrugia. They still showed class and some attractive moves Coach Charles Agius had these legendary players at his disposal: Reggie Cini, Mario Caruana, Jeffrey Chetcuti, Carmel Busuttil, Joe Zarb, Alex Azzoardi, Edmund Camilleri, Richard Buhagiar, Guzi Xuereb, Michael Degiorgio, David Camilleri, Alex Azzopardi, David Camilleri, Guzi Xuereb and others.
