MaltaPost launches 20th Maltex Philatelic Exhibition and Collectors’ Fair
MaltaPost has launched the 20th Maltex Philatelic Exhibition and Collectors’ Fair, with this year’s exhibition showcasing a number of fine philatelic collections.
They include interesting eclectic exhibits that go beyond philately, such as model cars, old children’s pedal cars, collectible badges and various sports memorabilia including a collection relating to The Beatles.
During his speech MaltaPost chairman Joseph Said explained: “Since 2016 we sought to raise the public’s interest by extending the philatelic theme to other areas of collecting. Whereas we are determined to retain the core philatelic vocation of this fair we believe that providing an opportunity and space for other interesting collecting hobbies add appeal and increase visitor attraction.”
The fair will be open between 22 and 24 October 2019 between 9.30am and 4.30pm. Entrance is free of charge.
For this special event the Philatelic Bureau will be issuing an Occasion Card and a Personalised Stamp/Cover. The card will be available in mint and cancelled condition as from Tuesday, 22 October from the MaltaPost stand at the Maltex
Exhibition and from the Philatelic Bureau. A temporary letter box service will also be provided during the opening hours of the Exhibition.
