Brian Galea wins Queen Garage Trap Shooting mini GP
Brian Galea won his third competition of the season when he claimed the Queen Garage Tyre Service Challenge Cup at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club.
This competition was organised on three qualification rounds followed by the finals.
Galea was joined on the podium by Nicholas Carabott and by Gianluca Chetcuti who finished in the second and in the third place respectively.
The finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were:
Brian Galea with the score of 70/75, James Galea Jr. 63/75, Alan Abela hit 62/75 + 3 shoot-off, Nicholas Carabott managed 62/75 + 2 shoot-off and Gianluca Chetcuti 62/75 + 1 shoot-off. The sixth finalist was Stephen Vella who won a three-way shoot-off versus Paul Formosa and Emanuel Zammit. Vella’s score was 58/75 + 3 shoot-off.
The final results were:
1st Brian Galea 25/25 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 10/10, total score 47/50
2nd Nicholas Carabott 18/25 + 5/5 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 8/10, total score 39/50 3rd Gianluca Chetcuti 19/25 + 4/5 + 2/5 + 3/5, total score 28/40
4th James Galea 17/25 + 2/5 + 4/5, total score 23/35
5th Alan Abela 14/25 + 4/5, total score 18/30
6th Stephen Vella 13/25, total score 13/25
