Clive Farrugia wins the 4th Skeet Selection

Clive Farrugia won the 4th Skeet Selection Shoot of the season, an event that was organised at the Malta National Shooting Ranges.

Farrugia was joined on the podium by Liam Sciberras and by David Gatt who finished in the second and in the third place respectively.

Two perfect straights of 25/25 hit targets were registered by Clive Farrugia, one on Day 1 of the competition and one on Day 2, however, 3 targets from the latter had to be deducted according to ISSF Rule 9.16.4.4)b) Make up Round of Absent Athlete.

The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were:

Clive Farrugia with the score of 116/125 (ISSF MQS), Liam Sciberras 110/125, Bozhidar Vasilev Dimitrov 107/125, Joe Muscat 103/125, Belinio Attard 102/125 and David Gatt with the score of 97/125.

The Finals results were:

1st Clive Farrugia 18/20 + 10/10 + 10/10 + 9/10 + 10/10, total score 57/60

2nd Liam Sciberras 16/20 + 8/10 + 4/40 + 8/10 + 7/10, total score 43/60

3rd David Gatt 16/20 + 6/10 + 7/10 + 7/10, total score 36/50

4th Joe Muscat 16/20 + 6/10 + 6/10, total score 28/40

5th Belinio Attard 14/20 + 6/10, total score 20/30

6th Bozhidar Vasilev Dimitrov 12/20, total score 12/20

The top Shooters in their respective classes completed Sunday’s results as follows:

Class A

1st Clive Farrugia 46/50 2nd Marlon Attard 45/50

3rd Bozhidar Vasilev Dimitrov 44/50

Class B

1st Liam Sciberras 44/50

2nd David Gatt 42/50

3rd Joe Muscat 40/50
