Żebbuġ Youngsters made an impressive comeback as they turned defeat to victory after a 4- 3 scoreline against Valletta St Pauls.

Even Balluta Barracudas and Naxxar Victorians started brightly their commitments in the MAFA Special League as they obtained the three points as stake.

Żebbuġ Youngsters defeated Valletta St Pauls 4- 3 in a Group C match.

The latter dominated the first half as they scored three goals in the first 20 minutes through Robert Perkins, Gary Tanti and Uros Markovic.

Despite this triple disadvantage, the Żebbuġ side started aggressively the second half and managed to restore parity in no time courtesy of Francis Okonma's double and Jason Woodhead.

Valletta were stunned by Żebbuġ's reaction and they eventually conceded the fourth goal as Woodhead completed the double.

The Citizens had the chance to level the score as they were awarded a penalty but new recruit Dimitri Boyadhziev saw the Żebbuġ keeper save from the 11-metre mark.
