ASMK motorcycle national competitions return this weekend
At the end of this week, the ASMK will resume organizing sports activities with the necessary restrictions as announced by the Health Authorities. Next Saturday, May 15, 2021, the fifth activity of the Honda Motocross National Championship 2020/2021 will take place at the ASMK Complex in Ta’Qali and will start at 4:00 pm.
On Sunday 16th May the Association will organize the fourth activity of the Wotomoto Enduro 2020/2021 National Championship with an activity to be held at the Xaghra talMaghlaq Quarry Limits of the Siggiewi, with the activity starting at 10:00 am.
A quick look at the Motocross standings after the event held last January where in the Honda Motocross National Championship, we find Kyle Camilleri on a KTM leading the standings with 197 points followed by Paul Muscat on a Yamaha with 169 points and Melvin Borg on a Kawasaki with 138 points.
In Motocross Class B we see Etienne Caruana on a Honda with 165 points ahead followed by James Mamo on a Yamaha with 156 points and Krist Falzon on a Husqvarna with 131 points.
In Motocross Veterans we see Paul Deguara on KTM leading this class with 189 points followed by William Sant on a Honda with 170 points and Arthur Micallef on a Sherco with 169 points.
In Motocross Youths we see Biurien Grima on a KTM dominate this class with 100 points followed by Liam Borg on a KTM with 88 points, in third place we currently see Marco Tanti and Aiden Galea both on KTM motorcycles with 76 points each.
In Motocross Junior we see the Azzopardi brothers dominate this class where Jose onboard his KTM is fighting with 100 points followed by Jack also on a KTM and Argyle Scerri Simonini on a Kawasaki with 44 points each while in third place we find Shawn Galea Xuereb on a Kawasaki with 40 points.
A quick look at the standings from the Wotomoto Enduro National Championship we see Bernard Sammut on a Beta motorcycle leading the standings with 60 points followed by Matthew Gauci on a TM with 49 points and Joseph Scicluna on a KTM with 41 points, in fourth place we see Aiden Camilleri on a Husqvarna with 34 points.
