Qormi Hockey A back to winning ways

Qormi Hockey Club A returned to winning ways in the MDA 8a-side league as they obtained a hard-earned 5-3 win over Education Bar Men.

It was an importanti victory for the Yellow/Blacks especially after their last defeat against Manchester Conquest Bar.

This time they were more focused although they had to endure the stiff opposition of Education Bar who adopted a never-say-die attitude.

Ħamrun Bayern A strengthened their second spot in the standings after a handsome 7-1 win over PO's Bar Gudja. Even Manchester Conquest Pub registered the same score against MCP Floriana Ajax B.

In the second division, Qormi Hockey Club B maintained their good form of late after a massive 7-1 victory over Żurrieq FC.

This was their 15th victory of the season to maintain their seven point advantage over Fgura Darts B who saw off Birżebbuġa St Peters 7-1.

Meanwhile Ħamrun Bayern B registered a hard-earned 5-3 win over Munchies Bar while Top Gun Bar dominated the proceedings in the 8-0 victory over Buġibba Whyte Hart.

In the third division, Banda Birżebbuġa 1990 were not in action during this week with their nearest rivals Beland Bull's Eye taking advantage by winning 6-2 against Qormi Hornets.

Fgura Darts A and St Pauls Diamonds had a similar 5-3 score against Mqabba FC and Mqabba tal-Ġilju respectively while Cox Bar obtained three precious points after seeing off Education Ladies 6-2.
