Gilbert Agius selects provisiona­l Under-21 squad

The Malta Under21 Team is back in action next month in the final Qualifying UEFA Group C matches as they host Slovakia before flying to Spain for this second June encounter.

Coach Gilbert Agius has selected a provisiona­l squad of 28 players for this June double fixture before the end of the current cycle and competitio­n.

Birkirkara keeper Amara Sylla makes his return to the squad, making his comeback also Karl Mohnani who is foreign-based in the UK, playing his trade with Swansea University.

Also notable is the return to the squad of experience­d Valletta player at this level Shaun Dimech who will surely be a vital figure for coach Agius as the team will be vying to add to the six points underlying tally for the boys in standings.

The team will be also relying on the ever-presence of establishe­d players in this squad, captain Ayrton Attard, Marcus Grima, Christian Gauci, and Carlo Zammit Lonardelli. Provisiona­l 28-man squad:
