Two important wins for Valletta Breakwater

Valletta Breakwater achieved two important victories in the National League organized by the Malta Blackball Federation to go first in the standings

The Citizens beat Jojo's Birżebbuġa 11‐7 and won the di‐ rect clash against Cospicua Rangers 11‐6.

Meanwhile, Cospicua Rangers returned to winning ways after beating Hamrun 147 B 11‐6 while in a very balanced game, Kazin Pinto Qormi A and Jojo's Birżebbuġa A ended their match in a 10‐10 draw.

In the Regional League, the duel between Mosta St Mary's A and Birkirkara Youngsters resumed as both teams won their respec‐ tive matches.

Mostin won 11‐6 against San Ġwann White Hart while Birkirkara beat Kazin Pinto Qormi B 11‐7.

San Ġwann White Hart strengthen­ed their third place after beating Birkirkara Boċċi 11‐0. Birkirkara Duke's A won with the same score in the derby against Juve Birkirkara A.

On the other hand, Selmun Bar A achieved an important 11‐8 victory against Hamrun 147 C and now they are only one point away from their opponents in the standings.

In group A of the Community League, Valletta Fossa Boys con‐ tinued with their positive mo‐ ment after achieving two victories of 11‐2 and 11‐7 against Domus Kids Żejtun and Birkirkara Duke's B respective­ly. The team in second place, Juve Birkirkara B had mixed results as after losing 11‐6 against Birkirkara Duke's B, they easily won against Jojo's Birżebbuġa B 11‐0.

In group B, PL Balzan B are on top with 33 points as they beat Tac‐Cacçu Qormi 11‐3 and Ham‐ run 147 D 11‐6. The same Ham‐ run side had the satisfacti­on of beating San Ġwann Nick's B 11‐ 4. Selmun Bar B are following as they won 11‐8 against San Gwann Nick's B and drew 10‐10 against Mosta St Mary's C.
