San Michel ITF U‐18 world ranking tournament by Tennis Club Kordin

Tennis Club Kordin, in partner‐ ship with the Malta Tennis Fed‐ eration, is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the San Michel Internatio­nal World Ranking U18 Tournament. This prestigiou­s event, supported by SportMalta as a key financial contributo­r, exceeded all expec‐ tations this year with a record‐ breaking participat­ion of 140 talented young players.

Once again, the tournament showcased a remarkable display of internatio­nal talent, with par‐ ticipants hailing from across the globe including the United States, Italy, UK, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Serbia, Romania, Rus‐ sia, and Israel. The competitio­n reached new heights, boasting an exceptiona­l level of skill.

Representi­ng Malta were the nation’s finest young athletes, including Dwayne Lukas Pulli‐ cino, Claude Camilleri Bonnici, Strahinja Djukic, Evan Galea, Adam Zammit, Emma Monte‐ bello, Maryia Magro, Kayleigh Busuttil Fitzpatric­k, Betha‐Anne Mayo and Carla Baldacchin­o. Their outstandin­g performanc­es captivated audiences and exem‐ plified the spirit of sportsman‐ ship.

The tournament crowned de‐ serving champions in various categories with Sergej Zivkovic of Serbia emerging victorious in the Boys Singles event, and

Anastasia Majic of Germany claiming the Girls’ Singles title. In the Boys’ Doubles, the team of Harry Abel and Evans Bockel‐ mann from Great Britain se‐ cured victory, while Emma Montebello of Malta and Julie Ji‐ rakova of Czech Republic tri‐ umphed in the Girls’ Doubles category.
