Nis­san adds a splash of colour to Malta’s whitest night

Nis­san Mo­tor Sales, the lo­cal im­porter and dis­trib­u­tor for Nis­san in Malta, has just been awarded the Nis­san 2015 Global Award, mak­ing the com­pany one of the best Nis­san deal­ers in the world.

Draw­ing in­spi­ra­tion from the com­pany’s pop­u­lar slo­gan, In­no­va­tion that Ex­cites, Nis­san has out­done it­self once again dur­ing its per­for­mance in Jean De Valette dur­ing this year’s Notte Bianca by weav­ing to­gether a ta­pes­try of her­itage, tech­nol­ogy and cre­ativ­ity and stag­ing a mem­o­rable per­for­mance that went vi­ral.

“Nis­san has in­creas­ingly gained pop­u­lar­ity among lo­cal mo­torists and can be eas­ily recog­nised as one of Malta’s most pop­u­lar car brands th­ese days. We wanted to thank all our clients for choos­ing Nis­san by lo­cal­is­ing the brand by de­liv­er­ing a dose of In­no­va­tion that Ex­cites,” noted Taryn Mizzi, Mar­ket­ing man­ager for Nis­san Malta.

Pho­tos and self­ies flooded the In­ter­net by ex­cited view­ers who man­aged to spot the lo­cally themed Luzzu Qashqai or the Mal­tese Bus Juke in Val­letta. For­eign 3D street artists fur­ther com­ple­mented the dis­plays by breath­ing life into the var­i­ous sce­nar­ios.

Vis­i­tors were also able to ex­press their cre­ativ­ity through a cus­tomised app that al­lowed them to in­clude their draw­ings on a touch screen that were even­tu­ally pro­jected live onto the body of the new Nis­san Qashqai. Ad­di­tion­ally a 3D an­i­ma­tion map­ping pro­jec­tion show was per­formed on the freshly launched Nis­san Leaf, the lat­est elec­tric car from the Nis­san fam­ily.

Apart from fun and colour, vis­i­tors were also of­fered the pos­si­bil­ity of par­tic­i­pat­ing in a com­pe­ti­tion to be in with the chance of win­ning two all-in­clu­sive tick­ets to watch the UEFA’s Cham­pi­ons League 2016 Fi­nals in Mi­lan next May.

“It has been ex­tremely ex­cit­ing to col­lab­o­rate with Cre­ative Agency TBWA\ANG on this project. I be­lieve that we have suc­cess­fully man­aged to project the Nis­san brand fur­ther at a lo­cal level,” com­mented Ms Mizzi. “It was incredible to see the pub­lic come to­gether to share their cre­ativ­ity and hav­ing our ex­cit­ing in­no­va­tion flood the In­ter­net on both lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional por­tals. We are hon­oured to have re­ceived such pos­i­tive brand en­gage­ment from the pub­lic and look for­ward to rolling out fur­ther Nis­san in­no­va­tion in the near fu­ture,” she con­cluded.
