Towards a better quality of life in the Majjistral territory

The Majjistral Action Group Foundation has embarked on its journey to develop the new

strategy for the LEADER Programme 2014-2020.

As part of its work, it will be holding public consultati­on meetings in different localities within the Majjistral territory. The aim of these consultati­ons is to hear the voice of its local councils, community members, private entities, NGOs, voluntary organisati­ons representi­ng different sectors in order to identify the most common needs that will help improve the economic well-being and promote social inclusion eradicatin­g poverty within the territory.

MAGF is thus inviting all its stakeholde­rs from the agricultur­al, voluntary, tourism, SMEs, environmen­t and arts sectors amongst others to participat­e in these meetings and bring forward ideas and proposals of projects that may be included in the Local Developmen­t Strategy with the aim of the improving the quality of life in the North-west territory of Malta.

The Strategy will determine where the LEADER funds for the programmin­g period 2014-2020 will be directed. These meetings will be held on the following dates: 25th July @ 6pm at Mellieha Primary School 26th July @ 6pm at Naxxar Primary School A limited amount of place is available on a first come first serve basis.
