Yamaha and Honda rock The Farsons Beer Festival

MotoGP bikes on show from Friday, 22 to Sunday, 31 July

GasanZammit is making the dreams of Maltese motorcyclists and racing fans a reality by flying in two MotoGP bikes, namely Yamaha and Honda Gran Prix bikes. These have been flown in exclusively to Malta for viewing at the Farsons Beer Festival between Friday, 22 and Sunday, 31 July by GasanZammit Motors Ltd.

The Yamaha bike is the same one driven by Valentino Rossi, also known as the “Doctor”, which placed second in last year’s MotoGP. Valentino Rossi has played a vital role in developing the YZR-M1 he rides and took his time trying several engine prototypes before choosing the one he labelled a "sweet" engine. The “Doctor” first tested the YZR-M1 in 2004 and the story between Rossi and the M1 machine reached epic heights when he won his debut race on it in Welkom (South Africa) that same season. He went on to win four MotoGP championships in nine seasons racing with it.

On the other hand, the Honda RC213V bike, driven by Dani Pedrosa placed fourth in the 2015 World Standings and is a machine that has optimised handling characteristics that combines stability, agility and maximum cornering grip. Pedrosa concluded the 2015 season on the podium together with his teammate Marc Marquez; finishing third and second respectively in the Valencia GP. On the same day, Dabi also celebrated his 100th MotoGP class podium, becoming just the second rider (along with Valentino Rossi) to reach this milestone. He did this on the same bike that is on show at the annual Farsons Beer Festival.

The GasanZammit stand at the Farsons Beer Festival will also feature different motorbike models of the Yamaha and Honda brands. Honda and Yamaha merchandise will also be on display and available for purchase during the Beer Festival. Some lucky visitors may also receive free merchandise throughout the Beer Festival at any given time. Further information can be obtained by visiting GasanZammit’s Facebook page GasanZammit Motors Ltd.
