BMX Malta celebrates its 30th anniversary
Between 8 and 10 July, BMX Malta celebrated its 30th anniversary with a BMX event entitled BMX Fest − summer edition.
For this occasion Chris Agius, parliamentary secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport unveiled a plaque commemorating this special anniversary. He was assisted by David Agius, Opposition spokesman for Sport, John Zammit and Karl Naja, president and secretary of BMX Malta, Dean Hili, mayor of Pembroke and Joe Bajada, general secretary of the Malta Cycling Federation. On the same occasion, an olive tree was planted next to the open BMX track.
The event was also a fund-raising event where €500 were collected in donations. Other competitions were also organised during the three-day event.
