SR Technics, a world leading MRO service provider, has announced that it has received base maintenance approval from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation, who acts on behalf of EASA, to begin offering a range of cabin modifications services for B777 customers at Zurich Airport, further expanding its service capabilities.

Following the approval, the SR Technics Center of Excellence will offer major turnkey cabin modifications and embodiment projects for the B777 and base maintenance support. Refurbishments will be handled by using a special upgraded line that is focused entirely on cabin modifications work, with dedicated processes and teams of trained experts, minimizing the needed ground time. The new capabilities – and the proven track record of on-time deliveries – will offer clear benefits to VIP customers, airlines and leasing com- panies looking for cabin work or any innovative entertainment upgrades.

“Getting approval for B777 maintenance and cabin modifications is part of a broader strategy to continuously enhance our capabilities,” explained Michael Sattler, Head of Aircraft Services at SR Technics. “There is a clear need on the market for B777 cabin work, and responding to customer needs has always been a top priority for us.”

SR Technics offers a full range of services for aircraft maintenance and cabin modifications, including part 21J design engineering for cabin modifications, certification, embodiment and Part 21G parts production. In addition to its existing capabilities of the A320 families, A330 and A340 all series and B737 NG, the cabin modifications and maintenance services for the B777 are scheduled to begin in October 2016.
