First prize award for poster at international congress
The poster by Dr Tabitha Dreyfuss and Prof. JoAnn Cassar was awarded joint first prize during the 13th International Congress on Stone Deterioration and Conservation, Science and Art: a Future for Stone held in Glasgow.
The poster was based on one crucial part of Dr Dreyfuss’ research on the treatment of Globigerina limestone with oxalates. Her poster and publication in the congress proceedings was titled The Natural Weathering of an Artifi- cially Induced Calcium Oxalate Patina on Soft Limestone.
Dr Dreyfuss is a Post-Doctoral researcher at the University of Malta, Department of Conservation and Built Heritage, under the Reach High Scholars Programme, part-financed by the European Union, Operational Programme II, Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 Investing in human capital to create more opportunities and promote the wellbeing of society, European Social Fund.
