Quintano Foods appoints Business Manager

Quintano Foods, a subsidiary of the Farsons Group and a leader in the marketing and distributi­on of branded food products, including Danone, Tropicana, Quaker, Walkers, Bayernland, Ribena, Ocean Spray, Calve’, Cooperlat and Mevgal in its strong portfolio, has recently appointed Sean Portelli as Business Manager.

Working closely with and reporting to the Group Head of Food Business, John Bonello Ghio, Sean will be contributi­ng to the strategic developmen­t of the business. He will be leading and coordinati­ng the implementa­tion of key initiative­s and developmen­t programmes whilst assuming responsibi­lity for the daily operations of the company.

“In his new role, Sean will lead and support the committed team at Quintano Foods, as well as contributi­ng to the growth of this important sector of the Farsons Group’s portfolio. This appointmen­t is another step in the Group’s vision to give added focus to the entire food portfolio besides the ongoing drive to strengthen its beverage portfolio,” said Mr Bonello Ghio. “Sean’s experience in sales and marketing as well as in business developmen­t place him in a good position to take on this challengin­g role as together with our teams, we continue to contribute to the growth strategy for this sector and strive to achieve the desired results.”

Quintano Foods Limited is seeking to further consolidat­e its market position by identifyin­g, anticipati­ng and satisfying consumer demands through constant brand developmen­t. It is seeking to do this by maintainin­g a flexible company structure to be able to meet the pressures of the highly competitiv­e market and to deal proactivel­y with the dynamic changes being faced. The focus and strategy for the food business within the Farsons Group, particular­ly within Quintano Foods Ltd is supported by the continued investment in the business and its people.

Mr Portelli is a graduate of the University of Malta and has also been awarded a degree at executive masters’ level in business administra­tion. He has worked in sales and marketing with local companies. Sean has led business restructur­ing projects aimed at enhancing business performanc­e and worked with partners both locally and internatio­nally.

Remarking on his new appointmen­t, Mr Portelli said: “I am looking forward to this opportunit­y to be working with the committed team at Quintano Foods to be able to take this company to its next phase of growth in line with the Board’s vision.”
