The Palace, Sliema wins prestigious award at World Travel Awards

5-star luxury hotel The Palace, Sliema was voted as Malta’s leading Boutique Hotel at the 23rd edition of the World Travel Awards which were held earlier this month during a gala ceremony in Sardinia, Italy.

These awards have been called the ‘Oscars’ of the travel industry by The Wall Street Journal of the United States. The winners are selected on an annual basis by an international panel of hospitality experts, trade professionals and the general public.

The General Manager of The Palace, Kevin Callus was truly proud of this award. “We are proud of this achievement and the directors of AX Hotels and myself would like to recognise our staff for playing their part in this significant achievement. 2016 has been a very positive journey for The Palace, Sliema and I’m excited to be closing the year on a high note with this honour,” said Mr Callus.

Next year, The Palace will celebrate its 10th birthday. Since 2007 this hotel has established itself as one of Malta’s famous both amongst tourists and locals. Undoubtedly The Palace is wellknown for its hospitality and the beautiful cityscape of Sliema and the picturesque view of Valletta.
