KPMG appoints Partner and Director

KPMG has appointed John Ellul Sullivan as Partner and Clifford Delia as Director, with effect from 1 January. This reflects the continued growth that the firm has achieved in 2016 and which is expected to be sustained in the coming years.

John Ellul Sullivan

John joined KPMG in 2007, after graduating as a Doctor of Laws, and has com- pleted an Advanced Masters in Internatio­nal Taxation at the Internatio­nal Tax Centre, University of Leiden. John advises a variety of multinatio­nals and high net worth individual­s on their internatio­nal corporate structures, as well as focuses on advising retirement scheme administra­tors on their operations in Malta. John provides in-house training on soft skills and technical matters, both in Malta and for the KPMG network at large. John is a Council member of the Malta Institute of Taxation, as well as chairs the Direct Tax Technical Committee. He is also a lecturer at the Malta Institute of Taxation’s Profession­al Certificat­e and is a speaker at various seminars.

Clifford Delia

Clifford joined KPMG in 2004 after successful­ly completing his Bachelor of Accountanc­y (Hons) Degree at the University of Malta. Following a number of years working within the Audit function in Malta and Ireland, he joined the Accounting Support Services team in 2008 and has progressiv­ely advanced in his career with his major focus now centred on advising and assisting internatio­nal and local clients in financial reporting, indirect taxation and payroll.

Clifford currently leads the firm’s accounting and payroll support service lines. He regularly delivers technical and profession­al training on accounting and VAT in various profession­al fora and has published articles in a number of profession­al journals.

Clifford is an accountant by profession, holds a Practising Certificat­e in Auditing and is also a Certified Informatio­n Systems Auditor. He is a fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountant­s and a member of the Malta Institute of Taxation.
