Malta Stock Exchange Institute to launch a new award focusing on the funds industry

Following the success of the Malta Stock Exchange Institute and the number of students who have applied to attend the various individual courses, as well as to enroll in its Award in Securities Analysis and Portfolio Management, MSE Institute announces that it shall be launching its second Award available through the Institute that will focus on the fund industry.

The Award in Fund Accounting, Administration and Custody will address the very acute need for qualified persons that the growth in the funds business in Malta has created. Students who complete this Award will be very well equipped to engage in the success of the local funds business as a result of this 9-month course that will start in mid-September.

The programme will be supported by Valletta Fund Services, Apex Funds Services and Alter Domus who are all leading professional fund administrators.

The Chairman of the Malta Stock Exchange Joseph Portelli said that he was very encouraged by the strong interest in MSEI courses. He also said that the Award in Fund Accounting, Administration and Custody will solidly prepare students to work in the well-paying fund administration industry, which quite often has difficulties filling job vacancies within the industry.

Practioners from the three supporting organisations will run the Award together with other leading professionals in this area.
