MCAST and Nordwin College collaborate
MCAST and Nordwin College signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will see both parties collaborate to develop a joint initiative in the field of Applied Sciences.
Over the past year, MCAST has been collaborating with Nordwin College in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands on a number of projects involving the mobility of several Maltese and Dutch students. These projects mainly revolved around Applied Sciences with special focus on water projects and food technology collaborations, as well as joint management and staff networking and exchanges.
This working relationship has now been further strengthened with the signing of a MoU between these two colleges. The objective of the collaboration is to stimulate the personal development of the participants particularly in regard of cultural awareness and international competencies needed for employability.
The MoU was signed in Nordwin College itself in the presence of students and staff from both institutions. Representing MCAST was the first group of students following the newlylaunched Advanced Diploma in Food Technology and some of their tutors, who are currently on a two-week hands-on Erasmus+ programme in Industrial Food Production.
