Equiom Malta lends expertise to aviation and yachting conference
Leading corporate services and trust provider attended Opportunities in Business Jets and Opportunities in Superyachts in Malta recently. The two-day conference was held between 22 and 23 February at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Valletta and attracted delegates looking to keep up to date with the latest activity in the aviation and yachting industries.
Representing Equiom Malta over the two days were Chris Cini, Legal counsel, Mark Young, manager of Yachting & Aviation and Ayuk Ntuiabane, director of VAT.
On day one, which focused on aviation, industry expert and respected speaker Ayuk was invited to participate in a panel discussion entitled In the wake of major geographical turbulence what will happen to aircraft registration and tax liabilities? On day two, the conversation moved to superyachts and Ayuk was then involved in a debate on the Links between private aviation and superyachts.
This unique networking forum offered delegates an ideal opportunity to meet with senior industry figures and update their knowledge of key developments within the aviation and yachting sectors.
Delegates included those with a vested interest in the successful operation or management of business jets and superyachts, including operators, corporate service providers, financiers, regulators, industry associations, registries, regulators, insurers, original equipment manufacturers, brokers and accountants and other specialist service providers to both the business jet and yachting industries.
The Equiom team was available to discuss their multi-jurisdictional aviation services including aircraft ownership structures, VAT and customs advice and importation of aircraft into the EU. In relation to yachting, Ayuk and the team were on hand to provide information about Equiom’s yachting services, such as multijurisdictional yacht registrations, bespoke ownership structures for VAT and tax efficiencies, EU importation and Maltese yacht leasing, among other topics.
