Elvis tribute artist all the way from the UK

The multi-awarded Elvis tribute artist, Gordon Davis will be giving a live concert on Saturday, 6 May. Fans of the late, great Elvis Presley will surely be thrilled at the news of a two-hour concert focusing entirely on the musical legacy that The King left behind when he died way before his time in August 1977.

The Maltese artist, who moved to the UK when he was 25, has won several awards, among them Images of the King World Champion 2012 and is one of the most successful Elvis Presley tribute artists in the world.

The concert, which will be held at the City Theatre, Old Bakery Street, Valletta will recreate various aspects from Elvis’ 1968 comeback and the live shows of the concert years – from the set list to the wardrobe, the instrument­s, and of course, the performanc­e – all delivered in the same spirit that has inspired so many generation­s of artists and fans.

Gordon Davis will be performing classic songs namely Gave Me A Mountain, Memories, The Wonder of You, Suspicious Minds, Are you Lonesome Tonight, Blue Suede Shoes and Can’t Help Falling in Love, adding that particular flair of his that has won him so many accolades in his career as a dedicated Elvis tribute artist.

He will be accompanie­d by his band of profession­al musicians, namely Cliff Preece, Dan Caney, Ryan Quartermai­ne, Richard Gibson, Harriet Raybould and Lucy Jones.
