Over one thousand students graduate from the MCAST Foundation College

During February and March, MCAST celebrated the success of 1,151 Foundation College students who successful­ly completed courses up to Level 3. Thirteen graduation ceremonies were held at the MCAST Main Campus and another in Gozo Campus at which students received certificat­es for their achievemen­ts.

The Foundation College focuses on study programmes up to Level 3, striving to provide the best learning pedagogies for students following courses at these levels by addressing their specific needs and preparing them for further education.

The Foundation College students completed courses in various areas including applied science, agribusine­ss, business management, community servic- es, creative arts, mechanical engineerin­g, electrical and electronic­s engineerin­g, building and constructi­on engineerin­g, maritime, ICT as well as the Pathway to Independen­t Living.

Stephen Cachia, MCAST Principal and CEO congratula­ted the students and encouraged them to keep on studying and to believe in themselves and their capabiliti­es.

The College is proud that over 16% of the students who graduated with a Level 6 last December had started their studies at MCAST at Level 2 and over 10% of the Level 6 graduates had started at Level 3. Over 3% of students graduating at Level 3 had started at Level 1 while over 45% of students graduating at Level 3 had started their studies at MCAST at Level 2.

Last December 2016 MCAST celebrated the success of 867 students who completed their Bachelor Degree or Higher National Diploma within MCAST’s University College. This February another 877 students successful­ly completing the Level 4 Advanced Diploma programme in their respective area of study within MCAST’s Technical College.
