BOV supports the 10th edition of the FinanceMalta Annual Conference

Bank of Valletta is supporting FinanceMalta’s Annual Conference Malta’s Financial Services Industry – Taking the next Quantum Leap that is being hosted at Hilton Conference Centre between yesterday and today.

The bank’s support towards this conference goes back several years. Over the past decade, this event has helped to position Malta as a centre of excellence for financial services in the Mediterranean region. In fact, this annual conference is a veritable hub that attracts both local and international practitioners.

The FinanceMalta conference will feature select local and international experts who will be discussing contemporary and current topics in the world of financial services. Among the topics lined up for this event is the evolution of Brexit. Blockchain is also on the agenda, and this ties in neatly with Malta’s commitment to develop a national blockchain strategy. Securitisation and Malta’s competitive edge in this niche industry, along with the recent developments in the EU fourth AML Directive are also topical items that are key to taking the financial services industry in Malta to the next level.

Following the morning presentations and two panel discussions, participants will break out into three workshops, focusing on pensions, fintech and crowd-funding and venture capital.
