Becoming one of the stars at iGaming Idol
Now in its second year, iGaming Idol 2017 will be held on 26 September, at the Grandmaster Suite, Hilton Hotel, Malta.
Organisers announced that Ambassadör Events have been chosen to take the lead at the helm, expertly managing the event. This year’s iGaming Idol promises to be an even more exciting, glamorous and star-studded awards’ night.
The concept behind iGaming Idol aims to set a benchmark in the Gaming Awards Industry with the ultimate goal of promoting greater employer initiatives and steering young talent towards an iGaming career.
iGaming Idol’s three pillars are: the recognition of individuals within the industry who have, through their work or initiatives, excelled within their field of expertise, charity fund-raising to benefit the greater community and top-notch entertainment.
Aspiring award winners are selected through a rigorous judging process, which focuses on four basic criteria:
Finely honed knowledge of area/field of expertise
A broad perspective and how role/function contributes to the organisation
Clear examples of advancement/improvement in dedicated area/field through personal initiatives
Holistic and up-to-date knowledge of both area/field of expertise as well as the industry in general
A professional quantative survey to rate the wellbeing of employees of companies working within the iGaming Industry is being conducted. Employees will be asked questioned that will rank their working environment. The company which scores the most points will become the next Employer of the Year Idol!
Speaking about the Event, CEO of iGaming Idol, Michael Pederson said: “Our goals are to increase the awareness of employer branding within the Industry, recognise outstanding individuals and encour- age employees to improve their education and skills to aspire to become an iGaming Idol.”
As part of their commitment to encourage education to increase the employee pool within the Industry it was announced that winners who receive the indus- try’s highest accolade, Idol of the Year, will also be provided with a free training course, courtesy of Igaming Academy, the official education partner of iGaming Idol.
By recognising the stars within the Industry and promoting the wellbeing of the employees, the organisers hope to address the imminent issue of the lack of new talent within the industry. But iGaming Idol goes further than just the making of new stars within the industry! Attracting new talent to Malta is becoming a major problem within such a dynamic industry, which is growing way too fast. IGaming Idol seeks to redress the balance and aims to act as an important tool in enticing more professionals, both local and foreign to join the industry on the island.
