Vodafone Malta first to launch 4G+, starting in Gozo

-

In a first for the country, Vodafone Malta is bringing superfast 4G+ internet speeds to Gozo as from this week.

With download speeds of up to 210 Mbps, 4G+ enables an online experience which is up to 60% faster than 4G. And to truly allow everyone to try this out for themselves, Vodafone is giving away 210 free SIM cards, each containing 1GB of internet, to allow Gozitans to try it out.

The introduction of 4G+ services provides a large boost to any activity involving internet usage such as accessing apps on the move, real-time transfer of data and live streaming and enables faster downloads and web browsing as well as a better video viewing experience.

“Whether it’s at university, work, home or while out and about, mobile customers are constantly using their mobile devices to do more – and they want their data speeds to be fast and reliable,” Vodafone Malta’s head of Tech- nology Sheila Kavanagh said.

“At Vodafone we pride ourselves on being one step ahead so that we are always ready to bring our customers the newest technologies first, to deliver a better experience. Our new, faster 4G+ speeds are testament to this.

“Furthermore, this launch is also a showcase of investment and innovation in Gozo. It’s often mentioned that Gozo deserves more attention and investment – now the best comes to Gozo first.”

Kavanagh said that customers with compatible phones will not need to do anything to access the 4G+ network as their phones will automatically select settings for the best performance.

All Gozitans are invited to pick up their free SIM card with 1GB of free internet from the Vodafone store at Arkadia between 9am and 1pm and 4 and 7pm. For more information visit www.vodafone.com.mt/network
