Evenings on Campus 2017 is back in full swing

-

This year’s Evenings on Campus is back in full swing. Now in its 25th edition, the festival is being held between Sunday 23 July and Friday 11 August. It includes an avant-garde range of music, dance, theatre performance and science in art to attract discerning fun-loving audiences - young and young at heart. The innovative blends with the traditional and the wellloved.

An exciting performance to be launched by Tricia Dawn Williams extends the black and white piano keyboard towards multi-coloured landscapes of electronic music.

In an evening dedicated to the Maltese language, unpublished stories by Trevor Zahra are interpreted by actor Joseph Galea, while Corazon links them to her song.

Young audiences can enjoy ‘Shakeshorts’, written and performed in a humorous style allowing children to enjoy Shakespeare.

Malta Café Sci speakers talk about their various expertise and the methods applied in the conservation of different surfaces and works of art, while Alegria Dance Company together with Tikka Banda presents 'Tikka Alegria', an experimental performance fusing Flamenco dance with traditional Maltese band marches.

‘Eternal Glades’ closes the season with a hilarious performance about a retirement home for old gods, with Odin trying to figure out why Zeus is so naughty.

This year Evenings on Campus is introducing family tickets and an individual block ticket with discounted pricing. Tickets may be purchased online from www.ticketline.com.mt or at the door.
