Exhibition of veteran, vintage, classic and military motorcycles at Couvre Porte in Vittoriosa
The Historic Motorcycle Club Malta, in collaboration with the Birgu local council and the Socjeta Storika Kulturali Vittoriosa, would like to invite the general public to admire, discuss and enjoy a one-day static show of restored vintage and classic motorcycles, dating back to the early 20th century.
This event is going to be held on Sunday, 3rSeptember between 9am and 5pm at the historic and charming venue of Couvre Porte, which is the old main gate fortified compound leading to the historic city of Città Vittoriosa.
The HMC was founded in 1989. One of its main aims is to keep motorcycles of yesteryear alive. Club members mainly restore locally found vintage and classic motorcycles, back to life, with a passion and patience second to none. It is a painstaking job, trying to find that missing part to keep a project alive and sometimes months and years pass before that crucial spare can be acquired.
The club organises local and overseas events, such as regularity runs, exhibitions and cultural tours and all this activity contributes to uphold the club’s motto, Ride them don't hide them.
The HMC is also affiliated to the Vintage Motorcycle Club of Great Britain and is a founder member of the Federazzjoni Maltija Vetturi Antiki.
Entrance to the show is free.
