BOV hosts the BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir

Bank of Valletta hosted a reception for the members of the BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir. This year, the event was held at Xara Lodge l/o Rabat.

Though the youngest protagonists to feature during the Maltese Tenor’s 20th Anniversary Concert, the choir members were a constant presence on stage accompanying Joseph Calleja and his special guests, including the internationally-renowned Andrea Bocelli.

Soprano and Choir Director Gillian Zammit as well as Destiny Chukunyere were also present for the event. The children were each presented with a commemorative photo of a special moment during the concert, complete in a specially designed folder for keepsake. Although the experience itself was a mem- orable one, this gesture was a token sign of appreciation by Bank of Valletta for the commitment shown by these children and their parents.

Although he could not be present in person on the day, due to other commitments, Joseph Calleja left the children a personalised video message which was aired during the reception. Another message was left by Andrea Bocelli himself. Both artists congratulated the choir members for their sterling performance during the concert, thanking them for their contribution.

The BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir was founded by Joseph Calleja himself. Bank of Valletta has been supporting it for several years now, as part of its Corporate Responsibility towards the worlds of performing arts and education.
