BOV gives away 12 Go Pro to BOV VISA Card holders this Summer
The last group of BOV Visa Classic cardholders to take home a Go Pro (Hero 5) were presented with their gift in the square of Siggiewi by Ramona Despott Manager BOV Cards Issuing and Josef Debono, Manager of the BOV branch in the locality. The winners were Paul Psaila, Marvin Grixti, Brian Borg and Marina Felice.
These cardholders join the other eight whose names were drawn among the many who responded to the Bank’s initiative and took up a new BOV Visa Classic card this summer. They applied for their card during the month of August.
Presenting the gift to the winners, Ms Despott said, “We are very satisfied with the keen response registered among our customers.” She explained that the main objective behind this incentive was educational. “The BOV VISA Classic card is the ideal card for anyone considering applying for a credit card for the first time. It carries most of the benefits of a credit card, yet comes with a minimum credit limit of €700, so it is ideal for a first-timer.”
She explained that upon using a credit card to pay for goods or services, customers tend to experience the benefits that these cards provide when compared to the more conventional methods of payment, such as cash and cheques.
“Traditionally, credit cards were directly linked to travelling. People used to get a credit card if they were going abroad, to avoid carrying cash. That benefit is still very valid, however card pay- ments are now widely accepted locally and people are recognising the convenience and peace of mind these cards offer for online and retail shopping.”
She also explained how these benefits increase once the card holder opts for BOV 24x7 Services package, which grants access to both internet and mobile banking.
The winner of one final grand prize of a 12-inch Macbook laptop will shortly be announced.
