Ten BOV branches open longer during November

-

Bank of Valletta announced that as from Tuesday 7th November, ten BOV branches will remain open until 4pm between Mondays and Thursdays. Normal branch opening hours apply on Fridays and Saturdays. This initiative is a pilot exercise that will run throughout the month of November and will involve specific branches.

The ten branches who will be open for longer are situated in Birkirkara, Victoria (Gozo), Mosta, Naxxar, Paola, Qormi, Qui-SiSana (Sliema), Republic Street Valletta, San Gwann and Zurrieq.

Speaking about the initiative, Geoffrey Ghigo, Head Retail Network at Bank of Valletta explained, “At Bank of Valletta, we are aware that the modern lifestyle demands greater flexibility to enable people to discuss their financial requirements at their convenience. To this end, we are embarking upon a pilot exercise, involving about 25% of our branches across Malta and Gozo. These branches will be open for an additional two hours from Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 4pm, on Fridays from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and from 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.”

Customers visiting the branches during the additional hours are invited to contact their branch in order to book an appointment. “Our employees will be discussing various products and services as well as taking orders and applications for different financial services. The only services that will not be extended during this time will be cashiering services. In order to enable customers to make the most of this one-to-one service, customers are advised to set an appointment beforehand, so they do not have to wait for their turn.”

A selection of BOV branches also offer an extended service on given days between 4.30pm and 7pm during the winter months, as indicated below: Mondays – Naxxar Tuesdays – Mosta and Zejtun Wednesdays – Rabat (Gozo) and Zebbug Thursdays – San Gwann Fridays – Mosta, Siggiewi, Sliema (Qui-Si-Sana), Qormi, Zebbug and Zurrieq

Customers requiring to set an appointment with their preferred branch are requested to contact BOV Customer Service Centre on 2131 2020. Updated information regarding the opening hours of BOV branches may be obtained from www.bov.com.
