International students to benefit from new agreement between APS Bank and University of Malta

-

APS Bank is launching the International Student Savings Account, the result of months of collaboration with the University of Malta which culminated in the signing of an MOU on Monday, 20 November.

Mindful of particular difficulties which non-Maltese students may face when opening a bank account, the agreement will facilitate the on-boarding process and allow students to access useful banking utilities, such as Internet Banking with mobile authentication, the setting up of standing orders to help meet regular payments and more secure online shopping thanks to an APS Student Premier Card.

The signatories were University of Malta Rector, Prof. Alfred Vella, and APS Bank CEO, Marcel Cassar.

Prof. Vella said: “The University of Malta is pleased to be signing this MoU with APS Bank in a further effort to better the services it offers to its international student population. The University looks forward to improved collaboration with APS Bank as one of its corporate partners.”

Mr. Cassar said: “We are proud to have collaborated with the University of Malta in offering a solution which should see foreign students better integrated into the local fabric. It is also another milestone in our long history of partnership with the university which we hope to take to yet new levels.”

More information about the International Student Savings Account can be found on the Bank’s website. Interested students are also encouraged to visit the APS Bank’s Sliema branch at 226, Tower Road, Sliema.
