Melita Power Diesel wins Rolls Royce Award

The Maltese firm Melita Power Diesel has won the MTU Rolls Royce Power System Service Partner of the Year Award 2016/17. As part of Rolls Royce, MTU is one of the largest engine manufactur­ers in the world.

Noel Borg accepted the award on behalf of Melita Power Diesel Ltd at MTU’s head office in Germany. MPD forms part of the Melita Marine Group which also operates a shipyard, a chandlery and an agency in Malta, as well as related engineerin­g activities.

This highly prestigiou­s global award is presented in accordance with strict criteria governing the quality and efficiency of the service and the judging panel consists of the Board of Directors of Rolls Royce MTU.

MPD won the award for service out of nominees from all four corners of the earth.

As of 1 November 2017, Rolls Royce has also granted Melita Power Diesel Ltd an additional territory of responsibi­lity as sole distributo­rs: Greece. Melita Power Diesel Ltd is already the sole distributo­rs for Malta and Libya.
