APS Bank Valletta branch re-opens

APS Bank celebrated its uninterrup­ted presence of over 100 years in Valletta by inaugurati­ng the transforma­tion of its Valletta branch on Tuesday, 5 December. The ceremony was presided over by Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta.

Marking a new standard in Maltese retail banking, the new premises were designed to house numerous meeting spaces of different sizes and purposes, and a suite of digital tools offering a good blend of personal service and technology to APS Bank customers.

The offices also include two levels, which will accommodat­e the bank’s Legal Office.

Mgr Scicluna, during his speech stated that: “The bank’s ethos is to be very close to the people, to be friendly to its customers and is based on values.”

APS Bank’s chairman Frederick Mifsud Bonnici spoke about how the bank has embarked on a strategy to grow responsibl­y, increase its position in the marketplac­e while strengthen­ing its governance and risk management infrastruc­ture. APS Bank’s CEO Marcel Cassar spoke about the future of the APS branch and how it is moving away from simply serving customers to educating them through digital tools, assisting them through problem-solving and enabling them to make their own financial decisions.
