Fundación MAPFRE to offer funding for Social Innovation Projects
Fundación Mapfre has launched the first edition of the Fundación Mapfre awards for Social Innovation, supporting innovative solutions that have the potential to make a major social impact.
The Foundation is looking to work with social innovators in the regions of Brazil, Latin America and Europe, identifying the projects that have the best chance of creating social transformation.
Fundación Mapfre is a leading global foundation committed to people’s well-being and social progress. Through a number of grants and programmes it offers support and funding to entities around the world which work to improve the well-being of society. In Malta, Mapfre is represented by Mapfre Middlesea and Mapfre MSV Life.
University students, business schools, scientists, researches and entrepreneurs are all welcome to submit their ideas. The project must fall within at least one of the three categories: Improving health and digital technology (eHealth), Insurance Innovation and Mobility and Road Safety.
Semi-finalists and finalists will benefit from support, guidance and assistance through mentoring and coaching. The winners of each of the three categories will receive €30,000 in funding from Fundación Mapfre. Applications can be submitted by April and winners will be announced in October.
