-

Equiom, the international professional services provider, has appointed Geoff McCumesky to take on the position of Yachting consultant, a new role created to meet the growing demands of Equiom’s multi-jurisdictional yachting and crewing services.

The appointment comes as the Equiom yachting team gear up for a busy yachting season between now and their flagship event, Monaco Yacht Show, which takes place in September.

Geoff has built up knowledge and expertise in the yachting industry over an impressive 20year career, having previously worked at Burgess Yachts for almost 15 years where he acted as chief Yacht accountant managing a portfolio of over 75 superyachts.

Richard Tribe, head of Business Development – Europe said of the appointment: “It’s fantastic to have someone of Geoff’s calibre join the team as we continue to experience significant growth and with Geoff’s guidance, we’re predicting a very busy season. His focus will be business development for the yachting and crewing side of the business, as well as ensuring we have the best resources in place to deliver the superior service our clients expect.”

Geoff added: “I am thrilled to be joining a company I have respected from afar for a number of years. More recently, I carried out some consultancy work for Equiom around their strategy and it’s fantastic to become a full-time member of the team and join them on their journey to success.”

Equiom has had a dedicated yachting team for more than 10 years, having grown from a single specialist to a 30-strong team worldwide. In 2017, its yachting and aviation business reached a key milestone of $4bn in assets under administration.
