JAYE Malta Leaders For A Day 2018 Initiative
Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Malta Foundation, together with the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Enterprise and, CORE Maltahosted the 3rd Leaders for A Day initiative yesterday.
The initiative supported also by the HSBC Malta Foundation, offers students who have obtained their Entrepreneurial Skills Pass to job shadow some of Malta’s leading executives for a day in the driving seat of some of the hottest industries.
The main objectives of #L4D18are to:
• Demonstrate the connection between education and successful careers. • Introduce young people to the demands of the labour market and help them build the necessary skills for success in the 21st-century workplace.
• Help expand their network and better position themselves to enter the
labour market.
• Encourage the mentoring of young people by experienced profession
als.
• Promote shared responsibility for the development of a skilled and adaptable workforce.
Following L4D 2016, all leaders signed a Declaration of Intent recognising “the importance of the need to provide real practical opportunities to youth in the world of leadership and business”.
As part of the Celebrating 30 campaign, JAYE Malta has extended the invitation to more companies and are pleased to announce a total of 42 students will be given the opportunity to shadow some of Malta’s top industry executives on this day.
