JAYE Malta Leaders For A Day 2018 Initiative

Junior Achievemen­t Young Enterprise Malta Foundation, together with the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Enterprise and, CORE Maltahoste­d the 3rd Leaders for A Day initiative yesterday.

The initiative supported also by the HSBC Malta Foundation, offers students who have obtained their Entreprene­urial Skills Pass to job shadow some of Malta’s leading executives for a day in the driving seat of some of the hottest industries.

The main objectives of #L4D18are to:

• Demonstrat­e the connection between education and successful careers. • Introduce young people to the demands of the labour market and help them build the necessary skills for success in the 21st-century workplace.

• Help expand their network and better position themselves to enter the

labour market.

• Encourage the mentoring of young people by experience­d profession

als.

• Promote shared responsibi­lity for the developmen­t of a skilled and adaptable workforce.

Following L4D 2016, all leaders signed a Declaratio­n of Intent recognisin­g “the importance of the need to provide real practical opportunit­ies to youth in the world of leadership and business”.

As part of the Celebratin­g 30 campaign, JAYE Malta has extended the invitation to more companies and are pleased to announce a total of 42 students will be given the opportunit­y to shadow some of Malta’s top industry executives on this day.
