MFSA warning: Jibi Bank Plc

The MFSA has become aware of the entity Jibi Bank plc which has an internet presence at https://www.jibi-groupe.com/. The entity purports to be a Maltese registered company and that “Jibi Bank plc is approved as a banking establishment by the Maltese Financial Services Authority”. It also claims to have its registered address at Tagliaferro Business Centre, Level 6, 14 High Street, Sliema.

The Authority would like to inform the public that https://www.jibigroupe.com/ is NOTa Maltese registered company NOR is it authorised to provide any financial services, including banking services, in or from Malta.

Although the website states that the entity holds a company number, the MFSA would like to emphasise that this company number belongs to another entity, and NOT to the entity mentioned in this notice.

The MFSA therefore alerts the public, in Malta and abroad, to refrain from undertaking any business transactions with the abovementioned entity.

The MFSA would like to remind consumers of financial services not to enter into any financial services transaction unless they have ascertained that the entity with whom the transaction is being made is authorised to provide such services by the MFSA or another reputable financial services regulator.
