REYL and CSB Group support NGOs amid COVID-19 pandemic

-

REYL & Cie (Malta) Ltd, the Maltese affiliate of REYL & Cie – a Swiss Financial Group and CSB Group - a leading corporate services provider in Malta, have teamed up to financially assist charitable foundations who are playing an important role in supporting worthy causes during the COVID19 pandemic. Staff members of both organisations were given the opportunity to contribute by making a monetary donation and the total amount collected was generously doubled by the directors of the respective organisation.

The amount was donated and split between Richmond Foundation Malta, a non-governmental, not-forprofit organisation, working in the area of mental health in the community and Foodbank Lifeline Foundation that helps individuals and families facing a short-term crisis through the provision of emergency food supplies.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Malta, both charitable foundations have been experiencing an unprecedented challenge. Richmond Foundation shared that “over the past months, we have taken extraordinary measures to safeguard our service-users and staff in the face of the pandemic. We created isolation rooms in case of COVID positive cases within our units, bought PPEs and had our residences on lockdown. Our helpline for mental health support became a part of the national strategy to support the public during COVID19.” About the impact of the pandemic Foodbank Lifeline remarked that "currently Foodbank Lifeline are supplying non-perishable grocery packs to approximately 580 families each week, that’s about 2,300 adults and children. Prior to COVID19 we had 130 families active families reaching out for help each week.

The directors of REYL & Cie (Malta) Ltd and CSB Group that includes vacancycentre, Malta Sotheby’s International Realty and Regus Malta, have jointly commented that “both REYL and CSB will remain focused on giving back to the community and in such uncertain times one of our corporate social responsibility initiatives had to be in aid of those experiencing the sting of this pandemic. Even if currently under control, this pandemic will still represent a threat until we’re allowed to go back to our normal lifestyles.”

Both foundations shared that without the generosity of individuals and companies like REYL & Cie (Malta) Ltd and CSB Group, they would find it very difficult to support the vulnerable people in our society.
