-

It’s been a very busy and active Easter break for 110 players who participated in a football tournament organised by Juventus Academy in conjunction with Frank Salt Real Estate, who became the academy’s main sponsor last year.

The three-day festival saw 15 teams with participants aged between eight and 14 years, including two foreign teams, Benevento and Gela. The semi-finals and finals took place on Friday, 15 April, followed by a closing ceremony and prize-giving with trophies presented to the top three teams of each category.

Frank Salt Real Estate also presented fair play trophies to six players: Aiden Guiga, Matteo Sammut Chambers, Edward Pace, Zak Abdilla, Liam Debattista, Scola Pietro and Cafa Rosario, who demonstrated sportsmanship throughout the festival.

The Juventus Academy Malta opened its doors to Maltese players in September 2021, offering a technical Academy for Maltese boys and girls between the ages of six and 14.

“The Juve Academy in Malta is grateful to Frank Salt Real Estate for having believed in this project from the outset and have extended its support to them in their various initiatives through the year,” said Francesca Mamo from the Juve Academy.

“It was great to be able to attend the finals and prize-giving ceremonies for these tournaments. The amount of participants was impressive and everyone had a great time. This is what we are ultimately supporting… local sports among our local communities. These clubs and sports events need all the support they can get to keep going and we are always proud to offer whatever support we can give,” added Frank Salt director, Grahame Salt.

Meanwhile Luxol/St Andrews football club, for which Frank

Salt Real Estate is the main sponsor, also held its first international youth football tournament, in memory of the late Paul Falzon, one of the founders of Luxol Sports Club, in celebration of his legacy, where various groups from under 8s to under 19s participated.
