Connecting bridges: Embassy of Malta in Germany and Ganado Advocates host two successful events in Germany

The Embassy of Malta in the Federal Republic of Germany, in collaborat­ion with Ganado Advocates, recently hosted two successful business breakfast events: on 14 and 15 November in Frankfurt and Berlin respective­ly. The MFSA was also a guest speaker at both events. These business breakfast events aim at cultivatin­g a deeper understand­ing of Malta’s evolving economic landscape among legal practition­ers, business advisors and other financial services profession­als in Germany.

In welcoming the audience, Malta’s Ambassador to Germany Dr Vanni Xuereb spoke about Malta’s economic journey, emphasisin­g the country’s strengthen­ed commercial ties with Germany following Malta’s EU membership and addressing recent economic challenges. In their address, the MFSA representa­tives provided a brief overview of the financial services sector in Malta, delving into the authority’s supervisor­y priorities and strategic objectives, including digital finance and

green finance. Practition­ers from the Ganado Advocates spoke about what it means to do business in Malta and highlighte­d why Malta is an ideal jurisdicti­on for setting up shop, particular­ly for fintech startups.

The collaborat­ion between the Embassy of Malta and Ganado Advocates has proven to be instrument­al in creating an environmen­t conducive to meaningful discussion­s and networking,” remarked Andre Zerafa, managing partner at Ganado Advocates.
