Supporting companies in international networking

-

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), connects, facilitates and promotes internationalisation processes by offering various services, including brokerage events, European connections, business opportunities profiles, alliances, technologycommercial transfers, knowledge transfers, participation in European projects, webinars, and more.

The Enterprise Europe Network in Malta additionally supports small medium enterprises (SME’s) through its Support4Growth scheme which provides the opportunity for organisations to physically attend brokerage events that are organised and/or supported by the Enterprise Europe Network. These events provide a quick and efficient way in order to find possible future partners through b2b networking. By attending different brokerage events one may reap the rewards of networking with other SME’s within the same industry or otherwise which provides the possibility of tapping into foreign markets.

It is understood that due to the traveling component certain costs may be entailed thus the Support4Growth scheme has been recently launched by Malta Enterprise Full details on this support measure may be found on https://maltaenterprise.com but basically the scheme offers financial assistance through grants in order to cover part of the costs incurred for travel, daily subsistence, and event registration fees .An eligible company can receive a grant to partially finance the costs of participating in maximum three EEN events per year. The maximum annual grant amount is capped at €5,000. The grant can be utilised for any three events listed on the official Enterprise

Europe Network calendar, found on

https://een.ec.europa.eu

The Eurostars funding webinar and brokerage event is an example of a past EEN supported event which provided the ability to allow businesses to extend their international network by creating strategic partnerships through scheduled virtual oneto-one meetings. Another example is the established B2B partnering event held within the MedtecSUMMIT, an international congress for the medical technology industry, where participants were able to experience efficient networking and effective exchange with all congress participants as well as exhibitors and visitors of MedtecLIVE. Maltese SMEs were able to discuss and connect with international business partners based on their company profile and interests, and arrange targeted discussions on site.
