Collaboration between Malta and the UAE through the Executive Leadership Programme
Twenty senior management officials working within the Public Service are participating in the Executive Leadership programme, an international Training programme led by professionals from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This programme stems from a Memorandum of Understanding signed in Dubai last year.
This was announced during a conference attended by the parliamentary secretary for
Youth, Research and Innovation, Keith Azzopardi Tanti and the deputy minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange of the UAE, Abdulla Nasser Lootah.
In his speech, Azzopardi Tanti explained that through this collaboration with the UAE, public service employees are given training that also strengthens the service they provide to citizens.
“This programme highlights
the importance of education and continuous professional development. Therefore, we are giving an opportunity to public service employees to continue to grow professionally, enabling them to continue delivering a stellar service to the general public,” concluded Azzopardi Tanti.
From his end, deputy minister Abdulla Nasser Lootah said that this strategic partnership with Malta stems from the MoU signed between the UAE and Malta. He stated that the launch of the Executive Leadership Programme in Malta is proof of the bilateral cooperation between the two governments.
The CEO of the Malta Council for Science and Technology, Silvio Scerri thanked the UAE counterparts for their support. He reiterated their commitment to further their collaboration to provide more opportunities.
