New, healthier breads from Maypole

-

Maypole has opened a new outlet and announced another one will be launched soon. Company has also introduced new, healthier breads, and collaborate with 15 local suppliers products to provide discounts on essential summer items.

Maypole has opened its 13th outlet, on Vjal il-Qalbiena Mostin in Santa Margherita, Mosta; another store, in Tal-Barrani, Zejtun, will launch in the coming months. The announcements come as the brand also introduces various new and healthier breads, while announcing its collaboration with over 15 leading food and beverage suppliers for the summer months.

“Our long-term aim is to give more added value to our customers, and we are doing so by offering the right product, at the right price, in the right place, and at the right time,” says Gayl Fenech, Maypole’s Marketing Manager.

“In order to do this, we are looking at potential locations all over the map of Malta, where we can fill in gaps and make customers’ trips to Maypole as easy and efficient as possible. These two new outlets are just the beginning, and we have another two stores – one in the Centre and one in the South of the Island – planned to open by end of this year.

“Moreover, we have also addressed other issues, such as changes in the lifestyle of the Maltese population so as to understand how we can serve our customers better. This has led us to ensure that almost all our shops are open from 6am to 9pm, seven days a week. Lately we have even introduced a variety of new breads to the market, and these are now available on shelves across our stores.”.

Among these new products are Maypole’s Low-GI Bread, which can assist weight loss as part of a calorie-controlled diet; its Hobza is-Samra, a brown-bread variety of the iconic Hobza Maltija that’s rich in fibre and with no added salt; and its LIV bread, which is high in fibre and vitamins, and is known to naturally maintain low cholesterol levels. The company is also the first in Malta to offer the Ftira Maltija in a frozen format, adding a new level of convenience to this age-old tradition.

On top of the range of Maypole-branded products, Maypole outlets also stock a variety of other items. In fact, the brand has now partnered up with over 15 suppliers to offer exclusive discounts on various summer essentials, including groceries, snacks, beverages, ice-cream, frozen items, confectionary, and wine and spirits.

“It’s fantastic to find other companies and supplies that share our vision and believe in our brand,” says Ms Fenech. “A number of these suppliers only joined us this year and, together with those that have been with us for longer, we are now offering quality products at the best prices ever – and for that, I thank each and every one of them for supporting us in this endeavour.”

The summer-inspired discounts will run until September, and can be found in-store at all Maypole outlets.
