Din l-Art Ħelwa 51st Anniversary Autumn Concert and Dinner
Din l-Art Ħelwa’s traditional Autumn Concert and Dinner will this year be held at the Grand Hall of Valletta’s St John’s Cavalier on Friday 11 November.
The venue has made available by courtesy of H.E. Ing. Umberto Di Capua, Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta.
The highlight of the evening will be a string performance by the internationally acc la imed Rotterdam Ensemble, comprised of Artistic Director Mro. Roberto Beltrán- Zavala, Marina Meerson - First Violin, Nicolai Bernstein - Second Violin, Maria Sofia Espiga Figueiredo Fonseca – Viola, Wijnand Hulst - Cello, Gjorgji Cincievski – Doublebass who will perform works by Von Biber, Vivaldi and Shostakovich. This concert is being made possible thanks to the generous support of Dr. John Vassallo & Dr. Marianne Noll.
The Rotterdam Ensemble is has been described by the European specialised press as ‘a superb ensemble’, formed by a passionate group of musicians with unique energy.
Conductor Mro. Roberto Beltrán-Zavala is rapidly earning an international reputation for his impressive, electrifying performances. He has recently been appointed chief conductor of the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Guanajuato in Mexico.
Welcome drinks will be served at 7.15pm and the performance will start at 8pm. After the concert guests will be treated to a gourmet dinner served by Osborne Caterers.
Tickets are to be booked against a donation of €56 per person, all inclusive. Dress Code is Lounge Suit. This event is always in very high demand, so early booking is recommended.
